Easter with Julia, Cailin in Namdalen - A true kite and outdoor paradise
Julia, Cailin and Daddy had a fantastic Easter holiday in the mountains this year, and we spent it in our Sunlight city camper van supplied by Namsos Fritid. As usual, it was an Easter with a number of activities such as; ski trips to look for animal tracks, barbecues, ice fishing and a fantastic kite trip in the mountains. Røyrvik & Namsskogan offer fantastic nature.
We had fun in the city camper and didn't stress about getting up early. We read books, played games and drew. Long breakfasts and we listened to a lot of Julia's favorite music, which is Rebella Hex - The Witch from Børgefjell.
Besides that, there wasn't a day we didn't go skiing. Julia is incredibly good at cross-country skiing, for a 4-year-old, and she really enjoys being off the slopes, as long as I (Daddy) am blazing trails. That suits me perfectly, because I like going off the slopes the most too.
It was Julia who decided what activity we would do day to day. Ski trips were a big hit back then. Exploring the forest and looking for animal tracks is exciting. We learned a lot about which animals live in the area we were in. Julia told Daddy that we had even seen Polar Bear tracks...
Grilling was also a favorite activity. Cooking outdoors and enjoying the view is an experience in itself. Dinner on the campfire was sausages after a long walk in the forest. It was a great way to spend time together and create memories.
Julia really loves fishing, summer and winter. This time it was ice fishing. We caught a few small ones, which we let go. But we caught one back with us, which we fried. Fun and exciting to gather our own food.
Finally, we ended a fantastic Easter holiday with a kite trip on Steinfjellet in Namsskogan. Cailin got to stay in the camper this time. Here she got to relax, while we got to play in the snow. I know Cailin would have preferred to have been there, but that will be for next time.
Being dragged behind a kite with skis on my feet and Julia in the back of the sled, in the beautiful surroundings was an experience in itself. It was a great way to admire the view and enjoy the freedom of being in nature together.
All in all, this was a memorable Easter holiday. We had a fantastic time here in beautiful Namdalen. A true kite and outdoor paradise, with lots of snow and sun. Thanks to our city camper, we have the opportunity to park our cabin on wheels wherever we want. In it we have all the comforts and conveniences of home, while we explored nature. Already looking forward to the next adventure and looking forward to exploring new places in the future, where we will create more memorable moments together.
Kind regards Julia, Cailin & Bernie
