About the course

The course is perfect for those who want to start kiting, and those who have tried kiting before but are unsure of water or have only kited on snow before. No prior knowledge of wind or board sports is required to start kiting, but you should be able to swim.

Day 1

Meeting at 09:00 Molovika. Wetsuits, helmet, trapeze and kites will be provided. For those of you who have purchased shoes and gloves, you will also receive these. It is important that you inform us what sizes of wetsuit you need (shoes and gloves, if you want to buy these from Tundra Tours) add this to your booking, or send us an email about this before the course, so that we have this in advance.

At the beginning of the course we go through how to pack and launch a kite, and how to control the kite. The participants work in pairs. You will practice controlling the kite yourself, before we start body dragging and maybe already on day one we will try our hand at the board. The day ends at approximately 3:00 PM.

Day 2

Same meeting place and time as on day 1 (unless otherwise agreed). Depending on the level of the participants, some will continue with kite control, while others may try their hand at board start. (depending on the wind and weather and whether you have kite control) Kite progression is about mastering the kite itself. The day ends at approximately 15:00.

What you need to bring

Tundra Tours provides all equipment, including kite, helmet, trapeze, vest and wetsuit. If you have any of this equipment yourself, we recommend that you bring it.

Food and drinks must be brought for the whole day. A warm and windproof jacket is good to have during breaks, as well as rain gear in case of rain.

We recommend wet shoes and wet gloves to keep your feet and hands warm. If you don't already have these, you can find them in our Tundra Tours kite shop. Please let us know in advance to make sure we have your size in stock.

Wind guarantee

We can't do much about the weather, but to ensure satisfied course participants, we offer a free place on another course if it is not possible to fly a kite during the weekend.

Moving course

Course relocations may occur. This happens if we are unable to fill courses or if the weather does not allow us to hold courses. In that case, we will place you on a new course where there is space available!

Unsubscribing from courses

Cancellations must be made within 14 days before the course. If you cancel after this and before 7 days before the course, you must pay half the course fee. If you cancel within 7 days before the course, the course fee will not be refunded.

If the cancellation is for medical reasons, please send us a doctor's certificate. As a rule, your travel insurance will cover the registration fee if there are medical reasons.

We want to give you as much progression as possible when you are on a course with us, which is why we have set a maximum number of 4 participants and a minimum number of 2 participants.
